A legal aid clinic was organized by Law & Society Trust and Crysallis under their Transform project. It happened on 06th April 2023, from 9 am to 3.30 pm. The venue was Sarvodaya Hall, Jaffna.
Contribution of the law students
The Law & Society Trust invited law students from the University of Jaffna through the Head of the Department to volunteer in the Legal Aid Clinic. With the assistance of the Law Students’ Association, 12 students from the Department of Law volunteered to contribute to the Legal Aid Clinic.
During the Legal Clinic Aid, the student volunteers acted as intermediaries between the common people who attended the event in seek of legal advice and the lawyers.
