Mrs Supasini is a highly experienced and dedicated lecturer of the Department of Law. Specializing in Information Technology Law, Property Law, Family Law, Criminal Law and Environmental Law, Mrs Supasini has a deep understanding of the intricacies and complexities of these areas of law. Her passion for the subject matter is evident in the way she teaches and the enthusiasm she brings to the classroom.

With her wealth of experience and expertise, Mrs Supasini is able to provide her students with a comprehensive and well-rounded education in the field of law. Her ability to make complex legal concepts easy to understand and her dedication to her students’ success makes her a popular and respected lecturer among her peers and students alike.

Currently, Mrs Supasini is teaching a variety of subjects for LLB undergraduates, including Information Technology Law, Property Law, Family Law, Criminal Law, and Environmental Law. Her extensive knowledge and expertise in these areas make her the perfect instructor to guide students through the complexities of these subjects.

Her Information Technology Law class covers the legal aspects of technology, including data protection, cybercrime, and e-commerce. In Property Law, she covers the legal rights and responsibilities related to owning and using real estate. In Family Law, she teaches students about the legal aspects of marriage, divorce, and child custody. In Criminal Law, she covers the legal definition and punishment of criminal offenses, and finally in Environmental Law, she covers the legal principles and policies related to the environment and natural resources.

Mrs Supasini’s classes are known for their interactive and engaging nature, where she encourages students to ask questions and participate in class discussions. Her approach to teaching is student-centered and she strives to create a learning environment that is inclusive and supportive.

Mrs Supasini has also been actively involved in outreach programs. She served as a resource person for the Efficiency Bar Examination for the promotion of new teachers’ service minutes designed and developed by the Ministry of Education at the Paddiruppu Educational Zone in Kaluwanchikudy, Batticaloa (2019-2020).

She also served as a resource person for the orientation program at the Advanced Technological Institute (SLIATE) in Batticaloa, where she introduced law and legal frameworks governing the prohibition of ragging.

Additionally, she conducted guest lectures at the Sri Lanka College of Journalism on an Overview of Current and Proposed Cyber Laws and served as a resource person for the Forum of Contemporary Issues in Law (FCIL) organized by the Department of Law at the University of Jaffna, where she discussed the topic of Chunnakam underground water issues.

Mrs Supasini is a highly engaged and active member of the university community, contributing to various committees and initiatives.

She has served as a member of the Health Care Promotion Committee for the Faculty of Arts at the University of Jaffna, as well as a member of the organizing committee for URSA 2021. Additionally, she has been a member of the Curriculum Development Committee for the Department of Law since 2018 and a member of the organizing committee for JUICE -1016.

In addition to her committee work, Mrs Supasini has also been committed to student welfare, serving as a Student Counsellor from March 2020 to May 2021.

Furthermore, she has also been involved in inter-faculty teaching, conducting lectures on Project Management and Engineering Industry in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Jaffna to students of the Faculty of Engineering.
