It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Shantha Abimanasingham, a distinguished and esteemed individual who played a pivotal role in the legal community. Ms. Abimanasingham was an exceptional professional and a compassionate soul, leaving an indelible mark on the legal landscape of Jaffna.<\/p>\n

As the President of the Bar Association of Jaffna, Ms. Abimanasingham led with unwavering dedication and unwavering commitment. Her visionary leadership paved the way for progress and development, leaving an enduring legacy that will be cherished by generations to come.<\/p>\n

In 2005, Ms. Abimanasingham’s pioneering efforts resulted in the establishment of the Department of Law, a testament to her passion for education and her unwavering belief in empowering others through knowledge. Her profound commitment to legal education has positively impacted countless students, who have benefited from her expertise and guidance.<\/p>\n

Throughout her illustrious career, Ms. Abimanasingham extended her support in various academic and professional capacities. Her wisdom and expertise were sought after by many, and she graciously shared her knowledge, helping shape the legal profession in Jaffna and beyond.<\/p>\n

Ms. Abimanasingham’s loss is deeply felt by all whose lives she touched.
